The Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Washington, D.C.
The Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Washington, D.C. (“The Propeller Club of Washington, D.C.”), is a chapter of the International Propeller Club of the United States (”The Propeller Club”).
The Propeller Club is a nonprofit organization whose members comprise a cross-section of the maritime industry throughout the United States and in Europe and the Far East. The organization is dedicated, on a national and international basis, to the enhancement and well-being of all interests of the maritime community.
The Propeller Club is the largest “grassroots” maritime association in the world with a membership of about 12,000, and clubs in 55 U.S. locations and 25 locations outside the U.S. The organization also includes 24 student chapters.
One of the primary objectives of The Propeller Club of Washington, D.C. is to promote relations between the varied interests in the maritime industry and to facilitate the active exchange of ideas on matters affecting the industry. Its goal is to educate legislators and the public as to the importance and necessity of all waterborne commerce.
