The American Association of Port Authorities in January issued its fourth “State of Freight” report, this one on security-related infrastructure in U.S. ports. “The State of Freight IV”, like the others in the series, is based on a survey of AAPA member port authorities as to the infrastructure plans and needs of America’s deep-draft commercial ports. This particular survey brought to light nearly $4 billion needed to maintain and upgrade port and supply chain security over the next 10 years.
